Requesting Homework Due To Illness
The State of New York requires regular attendance by high school students. Lisbon Central School believes that regular attendance is necessary to obtain an adequate understanding of instruction presented by the teachers.
Students are responsible for making up all work missed during any absence, regardless of reason for absence.
The method and time requirements to make up the work is at the teachers' discretion. Some lessons require class participation and may not be able to be made up. Any student who misses a class due to a tardy must see the teacher that day.
When a student returns to school following an absence a written excuse stating date(s) and the reason must be given to Mrs. Brunet in the high school office.
Students who are truant are subject to disciplinary action. Students of compulsory attendance age, with excessive absences, may be referred to family court.
If you wish to obtain homework due to absences, please call the school by 8:30 AM and tell Mrs. Brunet in the high school office so she may put your request on the school's daily bulletin.
